Frequently Asked Questions

How are fees and payouts structured?

Fees and payouts are defined in your individual Workshop Agreement and are not standardized or published publicly. Terms vary by workshop based on your service offerings, location, and negotiated partnership arrangement. Our partnerships team will discuss specific terms during the application process.

Is there a long-term commitment?

Commitment terms are defined in your Workshop Agreement. Typically, workshops can deactivate their account with advance notice as specified in the agreement. Our partnerships team can discuss specific terms based on your business needs.

How do we get paid?

Payouts are processed through our secure payment provider (Stripe Connect). Your workshop receives direct deposits to your linked business bank account according to the schedule defined in your Workshop Agreement.

Can we set our own pricing?

Pricing arrangements are defined in your Workshop Agreement. Some workshops have flexibility to set certain rates, while others operate under platform-standard pricing. This varies based on your partnership model and will be discussed during the application process.

What if our mechanic cannot solve the customer problem remotely?

Virtual diagnostics are advisory consultations, not guaranteed fixes. Mechanics recommend next steps (in-person inspection, parts replacement, etc.). You can then provide follow-up in-person service or connect the customer with appropriate specialists.

Can we limit our service area?

Yes. During signup, you define your coverage radius (in kilometers) and specific postal code prefixes you serve. You will only receive session assignments and customer leads within your defined coverage area.

Can multi-location groups participate?

Yes. Multi-location workshop groups can participate with custom agreements that address multiple locations, centralized team management, and regional coverage. Contact our partnerships team to discuss your specific situation.

What about liability insurance?

Workshops must maintain professional liability insurance ($2M+ coverage). Your workshop is solely responsible for your mechanics' professional advice and service quality. The platform does not assume liability for service outcomes or vehicle damage. See the Terms of Service section 7 for complete details.
